I have been enjoying this smoothie with some of my most trusted lactation boosting ingredients: oats, flaxseed, and Brewer’s yeast. Next to the added benefit of these galactagogues, I love that I can make these smoothies ahead of time. I simply whip them up and place them in the fridge overnight. The next morning I am able to grab one and head straight out the door without any compromise to my nutrition.
- 1/4 cup coconut milk
- 1 cup raw milk
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1/4 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 1/2 tsp chia seeds
- 2 bananas
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp flaxseed oil
- 1 Tbsp Brewer's yeast
- 1-2 tsp maple syrup (optional)
- Combine all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. Transfer to a half-pint jar. Tightly screw lid onto jar, and shake. Refrigerate overnight, or up to 3 days. Enjoy!
